Two GASE members participated with their SAABs, Lennart with his 1959 SAAB 93B and Daniel with his 1971 SAAB Sonett III in race trim.
-> Info about Grand Prix Retro...
The programme for GASE members arriving from Geneva was simple, see below the schedule;
-Meeting outside CERN on sunday morning at 09:00 sharp!
-GASE convoy to EPFL (The university of Lausanne), meeting with the other GASE members, after looking at their cars the programme is totally free.
-If there is interest, we could have a "GASE lunch" around 12:00.
-Everone can then leave when they please. :-)
At 09:00 the minimal convoy of my 1993 9000 Aero 2.3 and Michael's 2001 9-3 Aero Convertible left from CERN, we met Lennart and Daniel as planned by their SAABs. See the pictures below from the event. Click on the picture to see a bigger version.

Ahaa! See a familiar roof? The 1959 SAAB 93B of Lennart is there. Daniel's 1974 SAAB Sonett III is behind.
This was a part of the "track" where the cars were also driving.
Mikaela, Lennart and Michael looking at the mighty engine of Daniel's Sonett III.
...And here it is. Powerful package.
And the inside of Daniel's Sonett III is just as nice.
Lennart's turn, here is the nice two-stroke of his 93.
And the inside of his 93 could hardly be better. (Who is that in the rear view mirror? - Oh, it's me.)
The two cars are both blue SAABs in perfect shape, but otherwise they are quite different in design.
After a nice visit to Lausanne we had some coffee and then later it was time to go back to Geneva.
Hope to see you again soon!
Yours,
Magnus
